Splish-Splash - SO RANDOM (OPEN)

[kayla]

Kayla had a shoulder bag with two towels, a bottle of water, and a book. She had on a pink biniki with baby blue ribbons on the sides. For her modesty, she had on white shorts and a white sleeveless button up shirt with Hello Kitty on the right collar fold over. She opened the bag and laid out one towel and dropped her bag on it. She kicked off her white flip-flops onto the corner of the towel and went to the water. She touched her toe into it and shiver. Cold, but not too bad. She returned to her towel to take her shorts and shirt off to go swimming.

She was singing the songs from her course practice. She went to a special after school study group which was really a group of people who held special performances to raise money. They were singing Evenescence's "Bring Me To Life" so that's what she practiced.

"You're my favorite singer, you know that, Snow."
Noss walked up to her dear friend slowly, blushing hotly. She had walked up exactly in time to see Kayla removing the shorts and shirt, and felt a little light-headed.
"H-how are you?"
She was wearing something very similar, though with the colors reversed. Blue had always been her mother Linnis' color, and it was hers as well. She, however, had far less modesty.

Kayla had pulled the shirt up to cover her self out of reaction. When she saw it was Noss she gave small sigh of relief. "I'm doing well, thank you. Want to come swimming with me?" She motioned to the water. "It's cold so it might help that fever of yours." She motioned to her friend's face. "I also have an extra towel." She started to the water with her hand out to her. "Come on!"

[noss]

Noss gave a slightly exasperated sigh. Fever? Kayla was so innocent.
"Sure...."
She smiled and shook her head lightly.
"You look great, by the way."

[kayla]

Kayla blushed with a laugh. "You as well." She had gotten to the water by now and was starting in slowly. She shuddered but kept going. "Come on!"

[noss]

Noss nodded and ran for the water. She got in to about her thighs before stopping, shuddering, and continuing slowly.
"C-cold..."
Just what Noss needed.

[kayla]

Kayla laughed before doing a surface dive to get out into deeper waters. When she came up, she gasped. "That wasn't as smart as I thought it was!"

[noss]

Noss swallowed, a little uncomfortable with the way Kayla looked, popping up from the water.
"Eh, yea, umm...."
She just did a surface dive too, hoping to clear her mind with the icy waters.

[kayla]

Kayla giggled softly as she swam around, looking for Noss.

[noss]

Cold water surrounded her entirely, and relaxed her a lot. After a moment, one that seemed a lot longer for Noss than for Kayla, she popped up and took a deep breath.
"That was fun!"

[kayla]

Kayla was startled but laughed. "When was the last time we went swimming together?" Kayla asked, swimming over to her.

[noss]

She swam up next to Kayla and felt a need to hug her, a need she instantly repressed.
"Last summer, when we went back to Japan for a few weeks with our parents."
She smiled warmly.
"You, me, my sister, Constance Moonfire, Andromeda Lefay... there were a lot of us who spent most of that week on the beach."

[kayla]

"A whole year!" She threw her hands into the air--which over all was a bad idea. She went straight under.

[noss]

She laughed.
"Ten months!"
Kayla was adorable.

[kayla]

Kayla came back up, coughing. "Ten, twelve-- makes no difference to me. It still makes a year!"

[noss]

"Math would disagree with you, love."
Noss laughed and splashed Kayla playfully.

[kayla]

Kayla blushed softly at the comment but laughed and splashed back.

[noss]

She giggled and splashed again.
"Math says twelve is a year."

[kayla]

Kayla splashed back. "I say ten for a year."

[noss]

"So, are you a Roman or something?"
She laughed, splashing back.
