Isaac walked up onto the bluffs next to the lighthouse. From here, there was a vantage point where people could get a beautiful view of the ocean and the beach below. Seeing as it was still around midday, the water still shined under the sun. The sound of the waves reached up to the bluffs since no one was on the beach.
"This is it." Isaac said to Kayla.

Kayla's eyes lit up and she ran ahead to look at the water. "WOW! This is awesome!" She called out. Her face was bright and excited.

Isaac walked up behind her with his hands in his pockets. He looked out to sea as well and smiled. It was a beautiful sight in his opinion. He came here often after hours to think.
"I'm glad you like it. Is this your first time up here?" Isaac said.

Kayla looked at him and nodded. "My Mom use to take me to her favorite places, but we never got to the light house in Japan before we moved. If we did, I don't remember going." She looked back at the water with a smile. "I've see pictures. Though, pictures can't compare to first hand."

"I agree. Seeing something first hand is much better. You get to see more than if it were just a picture." Isaac said. He sat down near the edge of the drop off and looked up at Kayla. He gestured for her to sit down as well, if she wanted to.
"Where did your Mom take you? I mean, what landmarks and places?" he asked.

Kayla sat with her skirt under her. "She took me to Duel Academy in Domino's shore line. Then she took me to Kaiba Corp to see Kaiba-kun. Then she took me to a lot of places she had special memories of." She laughed softly and started to swing her feet idly. "My favorite was the house on the mountain. I love big old houses."

Isaac smiled when she laughed and watched her as she spoke. The original Duel Academy was rumored to be the best of them all, and the largest. The grounds took up a whole island from what he had heard of it.
"It sounds like you had a good time. What was the old house like?" he asked.

She moved her hands as she spoke. She told about how the ground 'talked', the windows 'watched', and how the belongings 'moved' away from your hands when you went to touch them. "It was like it was alive. Like something there said not to disturb anything. Does that even sound sane?"

"It sounds like a haunted house. It sounds like a cool place to visit." Isaac said. He had been listening the whole time, just content to hear her speaking. He knew she was sane, else things would be different at his point. He stayed silent to see if there was another part to her tale.

"My Mom said that her old friend died there. I think he haunts the place, personally." She looked at him. "Have you been to Domino?"

"No, I've never been to Domino Cit myself. My father worked there, but he never took me to see the city. He said it was dangerous." Isaac said. An friend of her mother died there. A sad memory for her, and something that Isaac never wanted to experience himself. He laid down and allowed his legs to dangle over the edge. He watched as the cloud passed by with the wind above them.

"Mom says that's why we moved: danger." She looked at him with her head tilted to the side. "Tired?"

"No. Just watching the clouds while I listen. So when you moved, is that when ou moved here?" Isaac said. Isaac watched a cloud go by that looked like a bird. It was amazing how many shapes they could take. He took his gaze from the clouds and looked into Kayla's eyes. He kept his smile as he watched her, gazing into her eyes as if he could see straight through them.

"Yep. With my Dad and my brother, Richard." She smiled brightly. She felt a bit of sorrow at mentioning her brother's name. "Richard enrolled here and I had to wait. When I joined, my brother was already out of here..." She hadn't noticed she was looking to the side until now and looked at him. "How long have you been here?"

"I've been here for four years. A long four years..." Isaac said. He showed Kayla the blue wristband he wore with his school uniform to verify his year in the Academy. Having had no friends up until he had met Kayla, it had been a long four years for him. He put his hand behind his head and returned his gaze to the clouds.
"How about you? How long have you been attending the academy?" Isaac asked.

"Oh, you didn't live here before the academy? I've been attending here for two, but been living here longer." She laid back as well now.

"I've been living in San Melina for about 10 years now, since I was seven. I guess I just never saw you around. Sorry..." Isaac said. He blinked a few times and rubbed his eyes. It felt like something had gotten in his eye, but there was nothing there.
"So how do you like Sam Melina? Is it anything like Domino?" Isaac asked.

"It's alright, Isaac. I didn't go outside of my neighborhood much. As for the two..." She looked at the sky for a moment then closed her eyes. "Their completely different. Even when things look alike, they are different."

"You're right. No two things are exactly alike." Isaac said. He looked at Kayla, as if he were about to ask something, but quickly turned his head away again. The question was a bad question anyways, and was a rude one to ask in his opinion. He fell silent. He didn't know what to say or ask at this point that she would like to talk about.

Kayla had caught the look and raised a brow as she rolled her head to look at him. "You wanted to ask something?"
