Nia is a very shy young girl. She doesn't talk much as she's afraid of being judged. She has a bad habit of blushing deeply anytime she talks. It takes some time for her to warm up and make friends. Most people assume she's stuck up instead of shy, so she doesn't have many friends. She's also not a very confident duelist as she has a low self esteem from being tormented by other kids growing up.History:
Nia enjoys studying while listening to music. She has a rather soft spot for melon bread. She hopes one day to be a well known duelist like her mother.
Nia grew up loving Duel Monsters. Of course she never actually played, rather, she preferred to watch as she thought the rules were too complicated for her to understand. Her father died before she was born from an incurable illness. Her mother was a well known duelist.Status: Student - 1st/2nd year (Doesn't matter to me.)
Around Nia's 8th birthday, her mother gave her daughter the very first duel monster card she ever had. The Red Archery Girl. From that moment on, Nia cherished the card and carried it with her everywhere. It was her good luck charm and gave her the strength to accomplish anything she set her mind to.
When Nia was 10 years of age, a classmate began to harass her and torment her because she cherished a card. One day, said classmate cornered her after school and beat her until she handed the card over to them. The kid then ripped the card to shreds before her. A part of Nia seemed to die with that card. She explained it to her mother, who informed her it was just a card and that she was glad her daughter was okay. After that incident, Nia's self esteem fell horribly and she stopped talking to virtually everyone.
On Nia's 14th birthday, her mother gave her the first deck she ever used. Of course it had another Red Archery Girl in it, but it wasn't the same as the original. Her mother then taught her the basic rules of the game. Nia's desire to be stronger, so that something she loved would never be taken away again, gave her the courage to attend the duelist academy in San Melina.
To this day, Nia has yet to enter into a duel.
Additional Information:
She REALLY likes melon bread and wearing frilly dresses. And also, she can't swim to save her life.
