Linnis stood on the bluffs overlooking the sea and then turned. This was where Ice shattered Stone, where Katherine Cascada decimated Scarmiglone. And where a Horseman would have to come to unleash Death. It was a stakeout.

Marylin had made her way to the bluffs. She had wanted to confirm the location of each of the other seals. After not finding the Divine seal on her searches around Industrial illusions she wanted to confirm the locations to make sure before they made their way into I2. As she approached the area where Amara had marked the area of Scarmilogne's defeat as per her map she looked up to see that Linnis was there.
She was a friend of the family so she didn't mind sometime with her and her mom's friend. Putting her map away she approached Linnis and said as she tipped her hat to her.
"Hi, Mrs. Takasei...lovely day isn't it?"

"It was. It's evening now, and the night will likely be harsh..." Linnis replied softly, half paying attention.

"It doesn't seem like it's going to be a bad weather night. Why do you think it's going to be rough, Linnis?" asked Marylin.
She didn't seem like she had her full attention on her. Marylin knew there was something up...but what? She didn't know as of yet.

"Nothing. She won't come if I'm here, will she?" She sighed and started to walk off. "Nadie, how do you trap something with infinite patience?"

"You set a trap that lasts infinitely long. I always find that a good trap hole always does wonders." said Marylin with a smile.
Marylin started to giggle at that as she remembered how she had trapped one of the Dig Workers in a pit trap she had set as a test.

"I find myself doubting I can get a Horseman of the Apocalypse to fall in a hole, but thanks." Linnis giggled and put a hand on the young girl's shoulder. "I swear, kiddo, you should be in charge of an Abjects all your own. You've got the spirit."

"An Abjects all my own? I doubt that...I'm just a girl with an eye for adventure and dueling. I'm not that great of a leader, but thank you for the compliment, Mrs. Takasei." said Marylin as she looked at Linnis appreciating the hand on her shoulder.
Marylin looked at Linnis and remembered why Momma had told her that she should be someone to look up too. She was strong, and beautiful...and had her own eye for adventure as far as she knew. And to get a compliment from a famous pro duelist like Mrs. Takasei made Marylin beam.

"You're too much like Anna for your own good." Linnis offered a grin. "She's relentlessly modest about compliments too. A very Japanese trait to find in an American family."

"Well, I learn from the best, Mrs. Takasei. And as far as being modest...mom always told me to keep a level head...or you fall into the simplest of traps." said Marylin with a smile. "So, about these Horesmen...why are you trying to capture something that is myth?"
Marylin wanted to see if Linnis knew about her recent activities with the Union. And if so...then there would be no need to hide more secrets. She trusted Linnis as much as her mom did.

"Because it isn't a myth. I'm sure by now you've met mythical figures. People I mention in class and eyes roll..." Linnis sighed. She did take 'fringe science' as her field of study.

"I see...so...do tell me about these Horseman...are they actually here?" asked Marylin curiously.

"Two, maybe three." Linnis shrugged, and closed her eyes. "War, Conquest, Pestilence... not Death yet, though."

"Oh wow...sounds like we are all really in a bind. I'm quite tempted to sent some traps now. But...what can we do against them?" asked Marylin turning and looking at Linnis.
There had to be something they could do...besides what Desirae had told them.

"Stop them from unlocking the renaming seals..." She shrugged.

"Sounds great to me...looks like I'll have to get ready to tell the stories then. The stories that fit my deck of course...it sound like this is going to be one of the greatest adventures of our lives...not to mention greatest battle." said Marylin with a sigh and then an excited smile.
She knew it would be dangerous. But if she was going to help the Union stop the Horsemen then she had to load her deck and duel.
