"Well, then, your bases are covered, aren't they? Why even ask us to debate his personality if his personality is irrelevant." Ocean stood in the doorway. "Is Kaiba and idol? Is he a jerk? Is he gay? Is he a rock star? Can he run faster than a speeding bullet an leap tall buildings in a single bound? And, more importantly, what does it matter?" She walked in, calmly, and took a seat near the back. "Sorry I'm late."

She shook her head. "That's fine Miss Ocean." She looked at her list.
"Alright. So that debate subject didn't really work well. Let's move on to the next duelist." She looked up. "Yugi Mutou. Discuss."

"Nice hair." She laughed a little and then took in a deep breath. "Beat Pegasus like, twenty years ago. That gave him the title 'King of Games', which he's guarded pretty intensely for the last couple decades. He also, if I'm not mistaken, still has the Egyptian Gods, the strongest cards in the game."

She gave Ocean a glare. "And he klonked a buncha baddies, and had the soul of Pharaoh Atem."

She was writing, but more creative writing than nay class notes. So far, nothing was said that she didn't know or was particularly amazed or amused by. Quietly, she added. "Millennium Puzzle."

Syaoran shrugged. "Ran a primarily Dark Magician deck. If I remember right, in 2016 he recreated his Exodia deck. He doesn't use the god cards anymore on accounts of them being too cheap. He's currently 39 years old, and has kept his title of King of Games since he was 16, but whether that can be counted or not considering he didn't duel for ten years remains up for debate." He smiled a bit. "Now there's a good debate subject Professor. Whether the King of Games is truly the King of Games, or whether it has passed to another."

"Great, tell all the answers." She muttered. Then she blinked. "Yeah! Wouldn't technically the title have passed to someone else? The candidates I can think of would be Jaden Yuki, Linnis Takasei, Vahn Gale or perhaps even Yuto Vynix for his participation in the Tournament of Champions in 2012." Brandy commented.

Mizuki's eyes narrowed. "Yuto Vynix's involvement in anything civilized is open for debate, but I'd rather that name not be said in my class. That would be what Mrs. Takasei's class is for. Not mine." She said coldly without realizing it. "However, I agree, you can debate whether Yugi can truly be called the King of Games anymore if you want."

"I just can't bring myself o think of Jaden as a King of anything. He strikes me more as a Jester. And I watched the 2012 Tournament on television, Professor Takasei wasn't at her best. I'd say Vahn, or maybe that British girl." Ocean said simply. "But I think Yugi is more than capable of retaining his title if he had to fight for it." "

"Yes but you must admit, he has the same 'pull a tatic out of his ass' air as Yugi did." Syaoran said with a shrug. "I'm not quite sure if Yugi's title can even be attributed to any form of skill, just plain dumb luck." Syaoran commented. "I mean, he was better for the time he was in the Tournament of Champions, but it couldn't even really be seen whether he still had it, because he dropped out and that odd British dwarf Alan Padmore took over." He shrugged. "Though, I think I have to agree with Alicia, Vahn Gale, if you took a good look at the Tournament of Champions, was a more likely candidate for the King of Games title, but again, Takasei wasn't at her best as you said. If she had, she probably would've mopped the floor with all of them and Silver would've had a garunteed victory."

"I think, for career performance, it has to go to Doctor Takasei, though, over Vahn." Alicia added a little on to what she was saying. "Fact is, Vahn might be good, but he's also lazy."

"No kidding." Mizuki said with a laugh. Then she blinked and coughed. "I mean... yes... valid point there Miss Ocean..." The Japanese woman looked embarrassed. Talk about a slip-up of professionalism.

Syaoran nodded. He had agreed also with that point, then he thought for a moment.
"You know what would be interesting? Having a tournament, and getting to duel Yugi at the end for the title... like the KC Grand Prix." Syaoran speculated.

Alicia blinked. "I wouldn't be surprised if II hosted one soon. To commemorate the fifth anniversary of opening the academy and launching the San Melina Series, the bunches of sets developed here in the U-S-of-A."

Mizuki smiled a bit.
"Would you like me to look into it for you?" She asked.

"Of course!" Ocean nodded excitedly. "Lucia and I would LOVE our very own Battle City."

"I think that perhaps it would be interesting." Syaoran said. "Open to the public as well, that would be a nice thing." Syaoran looked over at Brandy, and saw the frown on her face. It was highly unlikely that Brandy would enter.

She blushed hotly at the mention of her sister. She knew Alicia and Lucia were close. Very close. Sleeping in one bed close. It was weird for her to think of her sister like that, barring certain situations the entire Takasei family was sworn to secret about. "You'll want to talk to Ede Reyes then. She's the highest up you can go without a plane ticket to Tokyo Airport."

She smiled. "I know who to talk to Miss Takasei, but thanks for the tip. Besides, I might go back to Tokyo to ask if it doesn't pass through Reyes-sa- Ms Reyes. I've got family to visit when I get a vacation." She said. She clapped her hands.
"Well, I think, though we didn't cover much on history, this was a pretty productive class anyway. Next class we'll be discussing the Japanese history of dueling a little bit closer, getting into tournaments and what not. Unfortunately, I won't be taking you through Shadow History, as that's more Doctor Takasei's area, but I just want to say before you go to her first class, if you don't understand anything and need any help, just go to Doctor Takasei for extra help or you can come to me with questions, I can't cover that subject as well as Doctor Takasei but I've got my own experience." She blinked. "With the subject of course." She hoped slightly that her Darkness Weaver days wouldn't come up in class, but it probably would, and she'd probably get called in as a guest at one point or another.
"So, anyway, back on topic, we'll be covering tournaments and the rise of dueling in Japan, and then the next class, we'll get into Egypt so be prepared for that. I expect lots of class participation in this class, what with debates and all, and I'm glad to have a bright class as yourself. You're dismissed." She said as the bell rang.

Syaoran packed up his things with a bit of a thinking air. A tournament, eh? That would be pretty nice, actually. Perhaps this teacher wasn't so bad after all...
Haruka...
It was a name in his family that was mentioned sometimes. Mizuki Haruka...
He'd have to tell his mothers she was back in town and teaching. He was sure they'd be interested.
