Zoé moved in front of the person coming at her. Everything was moving quickly, but she liked things fast. He tried to passed the ball between her legs but she caught it and charged towards the other makeshift goal that consisted of two trashcans. Her knees were killing her but she had one shot left. She shifted her stance and pulled back for the final shot...
Street hockey was the closest thing she got to regular hockey in the heat of summer. "Bye guys!" She waved to them as they headed off. The old lot was their 'play ground' for anything they wanted to do. Hidden between in the middle of four buildings, Zoé felt this to be the closes thing to her home away from home. She sat on the make shift bench of cement blocks and an old door. She was tying her sneakers with her roller blades aside and helmet next to it. Her hockey stick was laying beside them, beat up and weathered from the years. She was in a deep green tank top and black shorts and black sneakers. Her hair was tied back in a pony tail with a deep gre ribbon.

Sometimes, it was unsure, the relationship between the kids from San Melina Academy, and San Melina High School. Sometimes, the two factions were at war. Other times, they allied. It was a lot like school rivalry over a football match... except this was more like little kid gangs. None the less, it didn't stop Brandy Harada, first year at the Academy, from walking through the Old Lot to get to her family's night club. After all, she had lived here for two years. She used to practically live here, playing soccer and hockey.
Her long pigtails were tied back with the customary bells, which only seemed to ring when she was running. Her messenger bag, which held all of her books, was over her shoulder, and she was wearing her Academy uniform. The girl sighed, closing her multi-coloured eyes. One eye was green, the other was blue. It was an odd genetic feature. Most people said to her that she had dropped a contact if they didn't know her.
"Geh... so hot..." California in June. It would get worse, she knew... but right now it was sweltering. She took off her black blazer and just wore her white t-shirt, draping the blazer over her messenger bag as she walked through.

Zoé looked up at the new person entering the ally. An academy student on SMHS grounds. Ah, what the hell. "Hey! Sup, friend?"

Oh crap. A high schooler.
Brandy stopped for a moment and then she decided to put on a peaceful smile. "Not much, just taking a shortcut." Brandy would've put her hands up in the parley position but that seemed a little excessive. Just smile sweetly... smile sweetly...

Another day wasting under the blazing sun. But what else better could people be doing at this time? Playing in the park, but with who? Doing something creative, but what hasn’t been done? Doing something interesting, but what was interesting enough for him? That’s how Hiro was when it came to him dwelling about in the streets. His dark form shaded by the clothes he wore as he took time away from the Academy to go street walking.
His out attire would make people think he was crazy enough as he walked with the sun out beaming on him. His thin layer of grease making his hair relax on his flowing hair would even run with the sweat soon if he didn’t stay cool, but it was only a faith he bought upon himself wearing a dark shirt and jean pants with a light black jacket that overlap the waste line with a tail that seemed long, especially with his hands reaching into his pockets of his pants by lapping under the sides of the open wear.
He had lifted his head as he stared up towards the bristling sun in the sky. He had taken back ways of some walkways to escape the shade, but no sooner had he happened to appear in the Old Lot from all the detours. At this point in time, he wouldn’t admit he was lost, but he had a good sense of direction and memory to find a landmark or perhaps the proper mind jogging sign when walking up and down the streets. So far, there were known.
Not admitting to himself with his foolish pride and overconfidence, he had stood at the lot’s edge. Catching his breath with a sigh, he took a step as his right foot broke the border of the shadow and sunlight upon the concrete ground and started to pass through giving a look towards the locals to simply capture a good picture of their face. They were only faces he thought he would only see once in a life time being the person that he was.

"Well, that's good..." Zoé stood up and brushed her shorts off. "Don't stay here too long, Acad. The normal High Schoolers don't like your fellow students here."
She looked at the other person who had entered. He was a Acad too. She cursed softly under her breath and looked to make sure her friends were gone.

Brandy shrugged it off. "I know half of them anyway. Went to middle school with them all." She said with a laugh. She held out her hand.
"Brandy Harada." she said to introduce herself.

"Zoé." She shook her hand. "I just moved here last year. Where you heading?"

"The night club. My parents own the place, and I go there to help sometimes." Brandy commented off-handedly. The night club was run by her mothers, Rei and Sara, and her, Fayt and Piper went down there to help sometimes.

"That's your family club?" Zoé gave her a questioning look while her hands went to her hips. This was a shock to her, somewhat.

"Yeah. The Haradas are my parents." Brandy said. She raised an eyebrow. "Why?"

"Just... never met someone who had a family in that kind of situation. It's cool." Zoé gave her a grin.

Situation? Brandy almost laughed, but she stopped herself. Being lesbian wasn't exactly a 'situation'. More like a preference. Who cared what was going on in her parent's bedroom?
Wait...
EWWWW!!!! AUGH! MIND SOAP!!!!
Brandy shook her head and grinned. "It's worse when you're a guy and your parents are lesbian, from what I've heard from one of my friends." Syaoran Cascada was the son of Dawn and Trance Cascada, and he kept on getting questions on his own sexuality because of his parents. He was straight... he had learned to definitely appreciate women from his parents.
"But no, there's..." She thought about it for a moment. "I know three lesbian couples in this city with kids. Then again, they're close friends of the family, so..." She shrugged. "It's not really any different. You just name them both Mom and to hell with the whole Dad thing." She said with a grin.

Zoé blinked a few times. "I was talking about owning a business...."

"Neh, sounded like you were talking about my parents, and most do talk abou them, so it's an automatic reaction by now." Brandy said as she shoved her hands into her pockets. "But why would owning a night club be a situation?"

Zoé shrugged. "Not everyone gets to be in that position to say that. So, any time you're in a position to be able to act, it's a situation. This conversation is a situation. It's simple deduction of relation."

Brandy shook her head. Odd way of putting it.
"Situation might be a situation regardless of the type of situation but it gives such a negative inclination to the scenario." Brandy said. Damn. Those English classes Fayt kept talking about were coming in handy.

"Bah, no word has an inclination to it unless the user or listener puts it there. A word is a word as life is life. Make it what you will." Zoé picked up her hockey stick and leaned it over her shoulder.

"True that." Brandy said with a laugh. She ended up watching Zoé pick up the hockey stick, and then she spotted one in the corner. "Want to play? You look like you play it." She said. She didn't have her rollerblades with her, but she could keep up on foot.

"You play?" She asked with a grin. "Sure, we can go head to head, bladeless. Though, fair warning," she took the ball out of her back with a wide grin, "I've already won once today, so I'm pumped."
