Her quiet wait at the table was soon to be rectified, but Mizuki Haruka couldn't help but be just a touch bored... and curious. Why was she called here? Why did the manager of Industrial Illusions want to go to dinner?
She took out a slip of paper and started her own planning process of the tournament, it all being written in kanji, and messy kanji at that. Her violet tinted eyes went as fast as her hand, which was pretty fast to begin with. She pushed her glasses up her nose with one finger and kept on going.
"No... not that... but how to... hmmm..." She thought for a moment.

She wasn't wearing her glasses, but contacts instead. Her hair was neat. Her outfit, a dark blue dress. She looked almost nothing like Ede Reyes.
"Mizuki, thank you for coming."

She looked up and smiled.
"It's alright." She handed Ede a menu from the stack and smiled. "So, I presume you wanted to talk to me about something?"

Ede rubbed the back of her head and sat down, taking the menu.
"It can wait. Mind telling me a little about yourself? I'm curious."

Mizuki thought for a moment. What to say that wouldn't freak her out?
"Well... I'm from Japan, obviously. I went to Duel Academy and was top in my class for duel theory..." She shrugged. "Not much that's interesting about me. After I was done Duel Academy I decided to travel, and a couple of years ago was when your company ended up tracking me down and offering the History job." She shook her head and laughed. "What about you?"

"Parents died when I was young. I protected my sisters, made some money any way I could, and spent a lot of my childhood working, living on the streets, feeding family...."
She sipped her water and smiled warmly.
"Then Ardrea got in close to Pegasus, and I spent my late teens and early adult years in a castle. They opened San Melina, and I took the job."
She laughed a little.
"And you can tell me anything. My sister is Ardrea Reyes, and my friend is Pegasus. There really isn't anything that you could say that would send me running."

Ede smiled and looked down at her menu, while still talking.
"No one who works with Linnis for any amount of time has a life that simple."

She chuckled. "To make a long story short, I was recruited for the Abjects because of my 'expertise' with the Shadow Realm. Have you ever heard of the Darkness Weavers?" She asked.

"In some of Linnis' research papers, yes. I'm not overly familiar with the mechanics but they were three 'demi-Guardians' of the Shadow Realm, yes?"

((Sorry I haven't been on for a while.))
She looked up over her spectacles and blinked.
"Katsu-san!" She said in surprise and she grinned. "So you own this place! That's..." She shrugged. "I suppose not surprising. You always did seem to be the type." She looked over the menu quickly.
"I suppose I'll have some of your... oh wow you have a Japanese section." She flipped over to it with a grin of delight. "Ok, I'll have this sushi dish, if you don't mind." She said as she pointed one finger at it. "That and some water, if you don't mind." She turned her look back to Ede.
"Well... the Darkness Weavers weren't exactly demi-Guardians... they were the things that they guarded. My mentor was the Shadow Realm itself. My student was the Twilight Realm... or at least she would have been, had I not lost my own corruption entirely before she made the transformation... and I was the connection between the Shadow and the Dawn Realm." She looked out the window. "Though to say that they were demi-Guardians would be pseudo-correct... Darkness Weavers were the more primitive precursor to the Guardians of the three Realms, before the Items were even created... and they were wiped out after the Items were created. So to say that my mentor, myself and my student were bastards would be correct..." She looked over with a sad smile. "We were the last. I'm just happy that I didn't bring my student into it." She looked over at Katsu with an apologetic look. She didn't know how much Ede knew, so she was leaving Kamuro and Rei out of the conversation.

"I'll have the Chicken Cesar pita, please."
