Fai sat at one of the many blackjack tables with 2 others. Some bad music was playing in the background and a few people had already left the table in rage or despair. He himself was doing alright. He was a little over even at the moment and was still slowly rising. He had been bored with nothing else to do, so he had decided to come here for the night.
He stared at his two cards, a 7 and a 3. A low number, which was definatly bad.
"I guess I'll take another card." he said when his turn came around. The dealer passed him a card face down. He looked at the card and frowned. A jack wasn't what he was looking for. With his luck, the dealer would end up with blackjack or a 21 after he hit a few times.
"That'll be it for me." Fai said. The person to his left busted. As expected, since he had had a few too many drinks. He watched as the dealer flipped a 9 and an 8. The dealer flipped another card, a 6. Fai watched as his credits rose by a few hundred on the small screen in front of him.
Once again bored, he removed his casino card from the slot and removed himself from the table to situate himself at one of the casino bar's tables. He ordered a glass of wine and waited. Yes, this is what boredom bred sometimes. A man wandering from table to table to try out the several games the casino had to offer. Sometimes the bar when he was thirsty, but not to stay long.

Ren walked up to the bar, her brother probably wouldn't approve of her having alchol, but sheesh she was like twenty-nine, or something like that... "The usual Ms. Troxin?" "Of course Sam." "Right away Ms. Troxin." She smeild lightly, she was becoming a regular customer once day once a week. She was either at the night club or here. She yawned calmy and looked around to see a man sitting by himself. "Mind if I site here sir?" She asked calmly.

Fai had just taken his first sip of the red wine when someone addressed him. He placed his glass back down on the table and looked at Ren with his good eye. There were plenty of open seats, and he had chosen to sit away from others. His left eye was bandaged up today.
"No, not at all." Fai said indicating that she was free to sit in the said seat. He took another sip of his wine and fell silent again, staring into the red liquid with his dark yellow eye, almost golden eye.

"Konbanwa" She asked stupidly before smacking her forehead, yet again... Japanese, English why can't they all speak one freaking language. "Gomen nasai, it's a habit, never got used to the Japanese to English switch. Ren Troxin." She said calmly, he seemed to stare off into space she didn't mind. She was used to it, she had a ignorent son...

Fai looked at Ren and smiled. It had taken him a while to get used to the change as well, having lived most of his life in Domino. He couldn't count the times he had gotten strange looks when he accidentally spoke in Japanese on his travels.
"It's alright. I'm still getting used to it myself. My name is Fai Miyama. So how do you like this foreign land?" Fai said. He took another sip of his wine and turned his attention to Ren, so not to appear rude. It wasn't every day that someone approached him for a conversation.

She shrugged lightly. "It's new. To say the least, but they got good food." She smiled lighlty. "How are you faring in the foreign land?" She took a sip of her martini which was brought over by Sam.

"Well, I'm doing alright. I've opened a shop on Crawford Avenue and am living quite happily." Fai said, "What about you? How are you faring?"
Fai took another sip of his now half gone wine. He swirled it around in it's glass, creating a whirlpool in the wine. It was nice to have someone to talk to. His somewhat feline eye looked into Ren's, as if looking straight through them and into her mind.

"I'm living, taking care of my son, I've been trying to get a job, no luck there. I'll get one eventually." She shrugged lighlty, yet again, it wasn't a problem, she was happy, her son.. Happy or that's what he told her.

"I see. Well, there's a spot open in my card shop if you need work. We could use the help." Fai said. He drained the last of the wine and set his glass in the sink in front of him. He was serious about the offer, but he could understand if she didn't want to accept. A card shop wasn't the most fun place to work. But hey, the pay was decent.

She thought a moment, as long as it doesn't constinitly required ultra long division the offer sounded nice. She would have enough excitement while having the job too, who knew you could talk business matters at a cacino. "Sounds like a nice offer, card shops aren't hectic, too much." Untill they got new cards then oh boy... She thought a moment more, "if you could use the help I'll be happy to come in a fill out the paper work."

"That would be great. Thank you for accepting. The shop isn't always busy, so you won't have to worry about it being hectic too much." Fai said. He leaned on the counter as he faced Ren and rested his head on his half closed fist. He ordered a glass of iced tea as Sam came around again, and the bartender went off to get the order.
"So, how old is your son?" Fai asked.

"He's nine now." She studied her drink a moment before taking a sip of it again. She gave a half hearted smile, god did she end up thinking again. She hated thinking when she thought what she hated.

Fai noticed the half-hearted smile. He had seen them enough in his life to know when a smile either forced or half-hearted. Maybe it was a hard subject to talk about for reasons that wasn't his to know. He felt kind of bad to make her feel bad.
"Sorry if I brought up a subject that you don't like talking about." Fai said quietly. He thanked Sam for the tea and took a few sips of it and fell silent, watching Tea rippled with the loud music in the background.

"It's nothing I was just thinking of my late husband, he died three weeks after Joshes first birthday. Hey no harm done, I'm not even sure how I started thinking about that. Am I being redundent? If so sorry." She shrugged lightly, she honestly didn't half an idea what she was most of the time.

"No, it's alright. I know what it's like to lose family, probably more so that others..." Fai said. After what he did to his own parents, he had nor right to cause others grief by bring the subject up. He withheld a tear from his good eye, though his eye still welled up a bit. He rubbed his eye as if it itched, but anyone could tell why really really did. It was probably the first public tear he had shed as long as he could remember.
"So... When can I expect you at the shop to fill out the papers?" Fai asked quietly.

"Don't force misery upon yourself right now relax. But I could come by tomarrow after lunch would do it sooner but Josh is begging me to take him to Pets Palace. I thought I went insane after seeing that name again... Didn't think Rika would be following me with her own life." She shrugged Rika had always been anywhere everywhere it seemed.

"Yeah, you're right... Tomorrow after lunch is a good time to come by. It's the Ikomono Game Shop." Fai said. He took another sip of his iced tea. Rika was another familiar name. What was going on that so many people from Domino were converging here? A very strange coincidence indeed. He assumed Josh was her son's name.
"Are you and Rika old friends?" Fai asked.

"Met her the year before I left Domino for good, so I guess you could say that, if you haven't heard of her, she was once known as Rika Soul now she's married. Everyones everlasting joy." She thought a second. She hadn't ment it to come out un-nicely. Her face blanked and she smacked her forehead... yet again. She was being rude and over redundent.

"Hm, yes I know her. Though I do not know her well. We went to the same academy, and she was in an organization that always seemed to be at odds with mine I believe. I didn't know she was married though." Fai said. Everyone but him seemed to have gotten married at some point. He guessed that was what it meant to travel around the world. He took a gulp of his tea, to wet his parched throat. Why did his throat suddenly dry up like that? He didn't feel nervous, that much was certain.
"Do you have something against her these days?" Fai asked. The wording of her sentence seemed a bit harsh to him.

"I didn't know she was married until she was called Mrs. Hidoko and had two birth children and a adopted child."
She said lamly.
"Sorry about that, I don't know why I spoke like that, over redundent at times."
She said pointing to herself.
