Setsuna has a slender and somewhat fragile build. She also has wavy brown hair that goes down to her back. Her eyes are blue. The outfit she wears is usually the same, consisting of a long dress with a blouse over it, thought he colors tend to vary.

Personality:

Setsuna is a very kind and gentle person. She loves meeting new people, and enjoys spending time with her friends. She carries herself in a graceful and refined manner, though she is more than willing to let her let her hair down every now and then. She is also very loving of her wife, Michiru, but she tends to be a bit clingy every now and then. She refuses to admit it, but, despite the two of them constantly arguing, she also cares deeply about her brother. When she finds herself feeling weak and/or tired, she can be a bit stubborn about accepting help from others, though she usually gives in if they press the issue a bit. Overall, her condition, and an incident that resulted from an attempt to cure the disease that causes it, are a sore subject for her, and she tends to dodge questions regarding either. On another note, she has a bit of a wild side whenever she drinks. Unless she's drinking out of depression, she is an aggressive and somewhat loud drunk, though she rarely stays conscious long enough for it to become an issue...more often than not, it tends to be amusing and scary at the same time. Worth noting is that, despite being Japanese by blood, she, due to both her and her parent being born and raised in San Melina, knows little of Japanese culture and couldn't speak the language to save her life.

History:

Setsuna was born the daughter, and first child, of Saibara and Ayumi Makenshi. She lived a fairly normal childhood. When she was three, her brother, Kyosuke was born, and, despite constantly arguing with him as they grew up, the two of them grew very close. When she was 13, she found herself in the hospital when she suddenly felt extremely weak and collapsed, which resulted in a minor injury as she fell. She was diagnosed with a rare disease that, while nowhere near fatal, left her physically weak and easily fatigued. Through it often interfered with her daily life, she more or less learned to work around it, even going as far as attending college with little or no problems after graduating. It was here that things took a rather brutal turn for the worse. When she was 21, she was approached by a man claiming to be a scientist, saying he had heard of her disease and that he was researching ways to cure it. Naturally, she was elated by the possibility of being cured, so, when he mentioned needing funding, she gladly invested nearly all of her savings into his research. However, she was in for a brutal surprise when she discovered, all too late, that he was actually con-man who had tricked her and many others into giving him money...by the time she realized this, he was long gone, with nearly every penny she had to her name. Because of this, she was unable to make payments on her tuition, thus she was expelled from her school. Understandably upset by this turn of events, she used spent what little money she had left drowning her sorrows at a local bar. Eventually, at this very bar, she would meet and befriended Michiru Tennoh. Setsuna found comfort in Michiru's company, and the two of them became close friends. Over time, their friendship developed into romance, and the two fell in love with each other. At the age of 23, she and Michiru got married, and have lived happily ever since. Currently, Setsuna runs a fairly successful deli known called The Bistro.

Physically, she is weak and tires out easily, but she is able to work around it...as long as she gets plenty of rest, she's fine. Also a bit of a sci-fi geek.
