Layla is confident in her own abilities and generally shows that to everyone she meets. Straightforward and usually prepared for most situations, she'll make sure to keep ahead in anything that she does. That includes studying and dueling especially. She's always practicing and testing as well, so if you are able to catch her not doing either of those, you're probably wondering why she isn't doing them. At least, however, she is social while doing this and tends to do both in public places, not afraid of what people would think of her.History:
In situations where she meets new people, she tends to be extremely happy, though it really just varies from person to person. It just depends on who it is that she's talking to. She'll be very talkative to shy people, at least, wanting them to break out of their shell and respond to her. For people who like talking, she generally calms down a bit more, wanting to have a decent conversation without scaring the person away. With this, at least, she gets as many friends as she can.
Layla was born in the Gardena Memorial Hospital in the little town of Gardena, not far away from Los Angeles. Growing up was particularly difficult, since her family lived on the more difficult side of life. Her mom dad were always working to make money. She understood that much, at least, but it didn't make her feel any less lonely. However, she'd always found ways to occupy herself. Be it with little balls of lint or walking to the library to use the available computers.Status: Second Year Student
That was when she'd discovered Duel Monsters. She'd found herself going all around the internet, looking at cards, seeing which two worked together and even made decks. It was an amazing experience for her and she'd even made friends in places she'd never thought she'd make friends. She was having the time of her life. And slowly, she'd started to venture out into the real world with people who played Duel Monsters.
By the time she'd realized it, she was hanging out with the kids at school who played, talking amongst them and discussing the things that no other girl would normally discuss. She began to want to play with them more, though. With real, tangible cards. Each of the other kids at school decided to try to help her, knowing her situation. They each decided to chip in money to make her a deck. At first, it was a simple, Spellcaster-based deck. She'd learned how to play with them and was generally happy with the way they ran. And she couldn't be more grateful to anyone than to her friends at school.
As she'd grown older, though, her parents had already accumulated enough money and they had stepped a class level up. They lived a comfortable life where they were and they were all quite happy. They'd even had enough money to send Layla to whatever school she'd wanted. They wanted her to be happy and to follow her dreams. It was at around that time that she had discovered the existence of the San Melina Academy. She'd expressed her extreme desire to attend the Academy and her parents and herself had worked to try and gather their savings for her and send her off. And, with luck and help from friends, they were able to do it.
She'd been attending San Melina Academy now! She was shy and nervous during her first year of attending, but she'd had a lot of fun. She'd met several new friends and got along with quite a few people as well. She'd made it through the first year within a blink of an eye and now she'd begun her second year, wondering who else she'd meet and who she'd face. Her adventures are continuing and she doesn't aim for them to end very soon.
