The type to rarely take anything seriously, Kyosuke is very mischievous, not to mention brave...almost to the point that it reaches a level of being retarded. He also tends to be a bit of a pervert, and will shamelessly flirt with any girls he finds attractive, though he also knows when to quit, and can be a bit of a gentleman when he feels like it. He is also known for saying and doing incredibly stupid (sometimes nonsensical) things, and always speaks his mind, regardless of who he's taking to or what they're talking about...he's not the type to sugar coat things, and he often speaks in a very snarky tone when annoyed. To sum up the above information, he acts like a pervert and an idiot with no sense of self-censorship. Despite this, however, he takes his job seriously. He tends to be surprisingly knowledgeable of things that one wouldn't expect him to, and has been known to surprise many people with the level of intelligence he can display when the situation calls for it...it just depends on whether he notices said call. He is the type to never write off any information, no matter how insignificant it might seem...generally, there's a 50/50 chance of this working for or against him. He would rather die than admit it, but he also cares a great deal for his older sister, and will often visit her to see how she's doing...the fact that she has a hot wife helps.

History:

Kyosuke was born to Saibara and Ayumi Makenshi, the younger brother of Setsuna. He was born and raised in San Melina, despite being Japanese by blood. Since he was little, Kyosuke was fascinated with detective novels and, as he got older, murder mysteries. He was also an avid gamer and overall nerd, which is mostly the cause of his vast, if not obscure, knowledge of multiple things. He also got into Duel Monsters and began playing in public tournaments. It was shortly after this that was dragged into a shadow duel. Though he somehow escaped unharmed, thanks to the intervention of an unknown person who dispelled the Shadow Magic, the experience left a lasting impression on him. Upon learning about it, he applied to DIS, a supernatural police force that focuses on cases related in any way to the shadow magic linked to Duel Monsters. To the shock and surprise of many, was accepted, even rising up in rank to 'Captain'. He often investigates cases himself, and likes to think of himself as a detective...which he might as well be, given what his job entails. Either way, his acceptance into DIS remains, to this day, one of the "Eight Great Mysteries of San Melina".

Additional Information:

He is constantly seen with a pair of headphones, either on his ears or around his neck. To say he loves listening to music would be an understatement. Also, his eyes are hyperopic, thus he needs glasses in order so clearly see anything up close. He mainly saves them for reading.
