Quieter than a mouse, is often the metaphor for Rika. She stays to herself and hopes that no one bugs her, but if they do, the metaphor is quite contradicted. She's either abnormally cruel, or really nice, it all depends on the time of day, month, and how that day goes. If she can help it, she avoids conversing with people, so she does not often confront people herself, unless she lost, or needs help, or is so confused, she'll get into trouble if she doesn't confront someone.

Being so quiet often does have its downfalls though, she doesn't talk to anyone if she's hurting or angry, so all that emotional pain builds up. Some people question why she often has random outbreaks of anger or tears, it's because she doesn't talk to anyone about it, so it makes her distance herself even more, because she often cannot control her anger. If this anger burst out in public while she is with someone, she instantly lashes out, or tries to restrain herself.

Despite her emotional roughness, if you can break through that, she is a very nice soul. Though she again, tries not to talk too much. This is where her personality is such a contradiction, if she is with someone she knows and trusts, a lot of the time you cannot get her to shut up, this often makes her laugh and smile. Smiling and laughing makes her feel awkward, because she is very self-conscious. But it also wants to make her smile more.

With strangers, she sometimes acts tough and sometimes distant, with her friends, she relaxes and admits that she is weak, and needs help. But non of that can calm her fears. She is horrified of being alone, it scares her, makes her think that she is being abandoned and that no one loves her, though she knows this is not true. So she will always have an iPod or some sort of music with her at all times, the sound of voices calms her.

If she sees a spider, half the people in the world, will be able to tell, she is petrified of spiders, why, she doesn't really know, they just scare her. She will scream and run out the door (if she's inside) and wait for someone to kill it, if she's outside, she runs inside, and doesn't go out for a few hours. For some reason, the idea of a bug that has eight legs, builds webs, drinks fly blood, and sometimes have poisonous venom, scare her. It also makes her paranoid if she sees a spider right before she goes to bed, making her afraid of the dark.

But no matter what, people can always say that she has a heart of gold, she loves animals, people, even if they are bad people, she loves them. If they are injured, who cares if she's shy or scared to be around people, she will try, and probably fail, at helping the person hurt, this easily makes her manipulable, because she trusts way to easily for being scared of everything, or everyone.

She has an addiction to stuffed animals and tinker bell, no matter what, there are stuffed animals every where she goes, and often has a small golden retriever tucked into her backpack or even uses a husky as a backpack, she is so childish when it comes to these things, if you ever make her angry, it's easy to make up for, give her a stuffed animal and she will forgive you for everything.

History:

Rika was named Rikalla Rose Soul, after her great aunt, she was born January 26, 1995 to Rukalla Rose and Richard Lee Soul. Both her parents worked in the Dueling Industry, they were not famous duelist, but they worked hard to hold tournaments from all over the world, this often left Rika and her twin sister and twin brother, with their Nanny Andria. Neither of them minded, it was Andria who explained to Rika why her parents were gone so often, it was also how Rika, Ruby Rose, and Richard Lee Soul II were introduced into the duel monster world. They were about six, so they didn't fully understand the concept of dueling until they were elder.

Even as a young child, Rika, or Rikalla, was a quieter girl, it always made Andria and Ruby and Richard happy when they could make her smile or laugh. It was like a game to all four of them, see who could make Rikalla laugh first, and see how long she could manage without smiling or laughing. She was always on the losing end, they always found the easiest way to make her smile and laugh, or it was the fact that they were trying to hard, that appealed to be funny to her. If was life, until they were ten. When they turned ten their parents became one of the mandatory tournament announcers California, so they were moved from Colorado, to California.

The move, at first, seemed like a good thing for Rikalla, who picked up the name Rika from her brother. But after a few months, she became more tempered and distant and it was only Richard and Ruby that could get through to her. But her parents didn't think much of it, because they were having a hard time getting used to the move themselves, they figured it was because Rika was separated from her brother and sister in school when they moved, which was the reason her demeanor had changed so much. She took a while to really trust people enough.

When she turned thirteen her parents enrolled all three of them in the duel academy, because dueling seemed like a good stress reliever than a diary of therapist. Not that they ever went to one just to relieve stress, her parents didn't believe in them anyways. So that's how she got enrolled into the school.
