1. This site's rating is rated T for Teen. This is a far darker world then the original YGO series. In fact for an equivalent, you may think of Yu-Gi-Oh: Season Zero or the earlier chapters of the Yu-Gi-Oh manga. Shadow Games can be everything from a normal lock away in the Shadow Realm to having to stab your own hand. But don't take it overboard.
2. Respect for other members will absolutely be enforced. There is to be no cat-calling on the C-Box whatsoever. However, this rule only extends as far as paranoia is not involved. Past experiences with an individual are not acceptable material to make another feel unwanted. Any personal conflicts an individual has will be taken off this website or to the PMs, or will be dealt with swiftly. Those who break this rule more then once will be dealt with harshly, including the administrator herself should it come to it.
3. Trolling is not permitted at Yu-Gi-Oh: San Melina. The definition for trolling is as follows:
4. Respect for the staff members will be enforced. Each staff member has been trusted with the task of keeping this place under control. Harrassment of anyone is not tolerated, and when a staff member says to cease and desist, stop whatever action it is you are doing. Period. If you feel you are being poorly judged, PM the administrator, and the administrator in charge of that account will deal with your issue.
5. Keeping in mind that this is an T site please recognize that there will be people that you won't like saying things you don't like to you. Grow up and grow a backbone. The administrator isn't here to babysit. If you cause problems for the administrator, you're gone.
6. Plagiarism of another member's profile or deck is strictly forbidden at Yu-Gi-Oh: San Melina. Plagiarism is an offense that can merit a variance of punishments, but in most case scenarios, your account will be banned. You have been forewarned.
7. Change your display name to your character's full name.
8. One account per character.
9. We don't need people making short 10-word posts every time. This is a roleplaying forum, and we'd like to have people put some effort into what they're doing. Here's an example:
That's 103 words. For one paragraph. This isn't to say that you need to write a novel, but make sure you put some thought into it.
10. If you are to have an avatar then said avatar must be of your character and nothing else. Same goes for your signature. Signatures are to be no more then 500x300 pixels and avatars will be forced to be 100x100 maximum.
11. Please link to your profile somewhere in your signature.
12. Please remain active. Unless you have reported that you will be absent, there is no excuse for not logging in at least once a week. All accounts inactive for more then two months will have their profiles archived and will have to request that their profiles be brought back out again by an administrator.
13. No Mary Sue's or Gary Stu's. Period. This includes godmodding or killing other characters (unless that character has given you permission to kill them, of course.)
14. Limit of four characters. Don't think you can try to be cute and get around this by having all different e-mail accounts, we can still track you and find out exactly how many accounts you're using. And no, requests of "Well my sister shares the same computer!" won't be listened to. Four characters per IP. Period.
15. Do not spam threads or "bump" them.
16. Post in third person past tense. The forum looks really odd when there's a random person posting in present tense in the middle of a bunch of past tenses.
17. Don't cheat. Be advised ahead of time, we know when you cheat, so spare us the trouble of having to hunt you down for it. Just don't do it, we have many moderators instructed to look out for this sort of thing. Also, do not duel with a deck before you post the deck. It will result in an automatic call for cheating, whither you actually cheated or not. Same goes for editing of decks during a duel. Do not do it, or we will call it for cheating. Both will result in at least an automatic loss, or possibly worse consequences.
18. Be as close to literate as you can possibly be. Sure, no one's perfect, you will make spelling mistakes. But, PLEASE write properly. It's understandable to have some mix ups with present and past tense if English isn't your first language, or if you have some form of disability, but it's NOT understandable to write without proper punctuation. You all can write better than that. If you have a form of disability in which you cannot, we recommend writing your posts in Open Office, which is a free writing program that is very similar to Microsoft Word.
19. The Administrative staff may add or change rules depending on the situations on site. If there is a major rules change, we will let the forum know.

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

Mizuki was walking along the road when she bent over to pick up a dime. It was a very shiny dime and she was intrigued by it. But then she realized that her hair was starting to smudge the dime; she had just dyed her hair purple and it was not helping at all. Her brown eyes narrowed in her frustration. Dammit. Why couldn't this dime stay clean? Why was she picking up this thing in the first place? It wasn't as if she needed it. God. She must look like an idiot here. So she stood and looked. Who else was watching?
