(OOC: I hate this stupid box of bolts...sorry for the 12-hour delay)
For Amy Morrison, there was little to do. Being a Substitute teacher did have its perks; she got to spend a lot of time with the teachers, mostly her old friends from school. Reminiscing about the old days...
Of course, the perks weren't all-inclusive. Amy didn't get an office, and was barely able to convince the Academy to give her a dorm on campus. Still, it felt good to be back, even on the other side of the teacher's desk...
"And in other news, Reigning Magic World Champion William Morrison has continued his profound dominance on the Pro Tour, this time winning PT - Chicago in historic fashion only dropping 5 games the entire event. With so many comparisons to the legendary Jon Finkel, it's only a matter of time before the master himsel-"
Amy turned off the radio function on her music player. Her adopted brother hadn't gotten into duel monsters the way she had, but he found another card game to enjoy and eventually dominate. She had that chance, once before. The chance to become one of the world's best...but luck wasn't on her side. She could have tried again, but for what?
"Don't worry about it, Amy..." A blue-haired girl appeared at Amy's side, holding a silver trident, walking alongside her friend. "Your time in the spotlight will come, be in on the field or in the classrooms, teaching the next great duelist."
"Thank you, Mia. you always knew how to keep me focused...[/i]"[/color] Amy silently replied to her Duel Spirit, a Maiden of the Aqua she had met during her later years at the old Academy. The two of them merely kept walking around, knowing that something would come...be it an assignment, an old friend, or possibly something totally different. Whatever it was, it would be an adventure...

(It's fine Amy ^_^)
Walking along quietly, Shizuma had come out to the fields to perform some training with The Six Samurai. It was an old habit of theirs that Shizuma kept up even to this day from his old days at the academy. His skill in had increased greatly and now Shizuma could wield any type of weapon that the Six Samurai wielded easily. However he kept this up as well not only to keep himself in shape...but also to relieve the old days when he first met the Six Samurai and started to peform this ritual. However things were different this time, Shizuma was being accompanied by the orginal Seven Samurai that followed him from the Academy...and now he was also being accompanied by the newest member of Shien's Court, Mayumi...the Priestess of the Six Samurai.
But it was not only Shizuma that had improved and changed a little. The Six Samurai themselves have also improved greatly with their powers. The Enhanced series was a tribute to that...the continued use of the Spirit of the Six Samurai created a bond that gave the Six Samurai great power and even these Enhanced forms could also wield the Spirit Armors.
Today was a time for Mayumi to start to learn Shizuma's habits and part of the reason he and The Six Samurai were so close. However, what he found in the field was something he didn't expect to find...or someone in this case. At this point he was wearing a white trenchcoat...the signature coat that was part of what made him recognizable as the White Rose Samurai in the Pro Leagues.
"Shizuma? Isn't that your old friend from the Abjects, Amy-san?" asked Grandmaster as he looked towards Amy.
Shizuma turned to look and knew that Grandmaster was right. She was older indeed and time performed it's magic on her as well changing her form from what it used to be. Not by much but he couldn't tell the full extent of the changes as of yet. However there was one change that could be easily seen. That being the presence of a Duel Spirit around Amy. That meant one of two things...she was about to gain the sight...or she already had it. This was going to be interesting to find the answer.
"Is that Maiden of the Aqua with her? Hey, I love Ohm to death but that still doesn't mean I cant find the Maiden to be freaking hot." said Kamon with a grin before he was wacked upside the head.
"All this time and you are still the same, Kamon..." yelled Yaichi as she growled at him.
"Yeah but at least I don't have a crush on Sh...*muffle*." yelled Kamon as he was quickly grabbed and silenced by Irou.
"Kamon we all promised her." said Irou as he held him.
"Yeah, Kamon, chill out already." said Nisashi as he looked at Kamon and Irou.
"Times really have changed haven't they, Shizuma?" asked Zanji as he followed Shizuma to approach Amy.
"They sure have, Zanji...but it seems for the better." said Shizuma as he approached Amy.
"Okay, Yariza please explain who that girl is that Shizuma is going to talk to?" asked Mayumi as the group started to follow Shizuma.
"Amy Morrison, she was an old friend of Shizuma's back in Duel Academy. She was a fellow member of the Abjects and a well trusted person in the academy." said Yariza as he looked towards Mayumi.
After that statement, Shizuma had finished approaching Amy and waved saying.
"Long time no see, Amy-san." said Shizuma with a smile.

Amy quickly perked up at the sound of her name, and turned to find yet another old friend...this time with an entourage. His face seemed unfamiliar, but the white trenchcoat told her all she needed to know.
"The White Rose Duelist...still keeping in touch with Richard 3, I see." Amy said with a smirk, still drilling the old War of the Roses reference into his head. "And his famous band of spirits still in tow. A pleasure to meet you all properly." Amy nodded a silent greeting to all the spirits, while Mia bowed deeper to them.
"It seems like I've run into almost everybody else already, including your sister and Linnis...small world, isn't it? And how did you get roped into this?"

"More like the White Rose Samurai now Amy. It was my title from the Pros." said Shizuma with a light hearted laugh.
It had been a long time since he had seen Amy and it seemed not much has changed. She always seemed to get on him about this White Trenchcoat since his attempt to unite the old organizations of Duel Academy. However, what she said about the spirits was all he needed to know...she had the Sight now. But he would address that in a moment.
"A small world indeed, Amy-san. I haven't seen Linnis yet but I have met my Sister. Kami, it's been far too long since I've seen her. It was good to meet her again here in San Melina. As far as getting roped into things, I received an invite from I.I. to come and teach dueling here at the Academy. And as you can see, I said yes. " said Shizuma with a smile. "But as far as it being a small world...much has changed since we've last met, Amy. For one it seems, that from what you said you can finally see my band of buddies over here."
Shizuma pointed to the 8 members of Shien's court that had accompanied him here.

Amy nodded anxiously and rubbed the back of her head. She thought she had told him...ah well, it didn't matter.
"Yeah...during the time that Yuto was having fun messing with our minds, I had a real bad case of insomnia. As soon as we finally got everything fixed, I guess you could say I really needed some sleep and didn't care where I got it. And that's when I ran into Mia here." Amy pointed to her duel spirit, who bowed again.
"I'll spare you the details, but let's just say that my brain didn't get any rest while I was asleep...you help save the world once and now everyone thinks you can do it for them." Amy shot a quick glare at her spirit, who gave a gesture as to suggest "Don't look at me!" Amy softened her gaze and continued a bit more.
'So here I am, an in-house Substitute Teacher, a jack-of-all-trades, if you will. So if you need or want any help in class, that's what I'm here for."

Shizuma couldn't help but chuckle a little as he listened to Amy's story.
"It was something similar for when I met The Six Samurai back in the old days. And since then we've helped each other out on many different occasions. And Mia, it's nice to meet you as well." said Shizuma as he bowed in greeting to the Maiden of Aqua. "So you are the substitute? Good to know my class will be in good hands if I have to go somewhere. So Amy, what else have you been up too since we last met?"

Amy rolled her eyes; she had way too many memories of her crazy dreams that led up to finding Mia, and she'd like to relive as few of them as possible.
"Just imagine trying to cross a cursed, monster-filled, sweltering-hot desert; wearing a sailor-girl school uniform with knee-high boots, and doing it with three single teenage boys." She let that image sink in for a minute. Mia looked away, trying to appear as innocent as possible. Amy shot a glance at Shizuma. "Thanks to those crazy dreams, I've become quite quick at back-handing people who try anything funny." She looked up to the sky and sighed.
"After the academy, I did a stint in the pro Leagues...made it to worlds in 2019 but didn't get out of the first swiss group. Then I went back home, helped with a card shop in town, settled down a bit. And when they talked about an academy on this side of the ocean, I figured it as worth a shot to look into it. And here I am, running into more old classmates than I would during an Abjects meeting."

"Sounds like the one of the times Kamon, Shizuma and I had to Hero City. We couldn't use our normal paths so we had to cross the wasteland to get there. You remember that don't you Shizuma-kun?" asked Yaichi with twitch as she listened to the story.
"Yes I do, that dream was incredible, you swatted Kamon at least half a dozen times, Yaichi." said Shizuma with a smile. "You were a Pro Duelist too? I did pretty good in the pros myself and I actually won a World Championship in 2017...I think that was the same year I got married, if I remember correctly. I came here at the invite of Industrial Illusions...I'm not sure why they asked me to teach here but I simply took the invite and now like you I'm running into a lot of old friends here."

(OOC: a heads-up, Amy isn't the only one who can react quickly to uncomfortable situations. Mia's quite adept at using her trident as a jitte.)
"Yeah, I remember reading about that...if I remember right, you backed into the top 8 and just ran the table from there.
So..." Amy didn't really know what to do, she hadn't received an assignment, and unless someone got sick or otherwise...occupied, she didn't expect to see much work at all. Which didn't help her cause at all. "If you need a day off, or just some extra help in class...you know where to find me, right?"

(Sweet! ^_^)
"Yep, showed the world the power of The Six Samurai that year. You may be a sub...but if you want you can come in and help teach classes with me or I'll take a personal day to allow you some work." said Shizuma with a smile.
Shizuma figured that a sub's job was kinda boring so he at least offered her a chance to do some teaching to when there was a chance to do so.

"I hope so, Amy it's been so long time since I've seen you around. I hope to see you and the rest of the gang around more." said Shizuma with a smile.

Amy smiled as well, and headed off. Something about talking to Shizuma gave Amy a feeling that there was a reason she was here. Her brother dedicated most of his life to his game and now he sat as one of the best. Amy had just as much dedication, but if applied to another, someone to carry on her dream...that would be enough for her. Sliding her earbuds back in, she checked the radio once more.
"And that was an interview with Reigning World Champion and Pro Tour Chicago winner William Morrison, visit our website if you want to hear more from the champion as well as a transcript of the interview. However, the Morrison family has grown in more ways than one as a card-playing powerhouse, William's sister Amy made it to the Duel Monsters Pro Tour and played in the 2019 World Championships in Seattle before retiring from competitive play the following year. The Morrison Duelists also have a pair of Duel Monsters Tag-team titles and a Two-headed Giant Grand Prix Championship, completing a stunning mastery of two very different games. Thi-"
So she hadn't been forgotten. Her brother had his rightful spotlight; he earned it after all, but knowing that her work hadn't gone un-noticed in the magic community.
"It's time...for the next great duelist. It won't be me; but I'll be there to see them make history..."
