Ocean said simply and put her deck away.
"Kayla dodged a bullet when she dumped Noss, because the Noss we knew is dead. The Noss we knew wouldn't skip her mother's class."

Kayla pulled free from his hug and was suddenly on her feet facing Alicia. "I am not useless!" She shouted with tears in her eyes. "I'm being teamed up on here for something that I didn't mean to happen! I've lost almost all my friends because I hurt someone by mistake!" She felt herself starting to cry. "You all suddenly hate me when I turn out to be straight yet you all treated my brother like crap growing up! I never jumped at you guys like this! I never hated you all for being such snobby bitches to him! No! I stayed your friends because I knew it was something that I couldn't control NOR was it my business! I will defend him when he can't defend himself and I'll do it passionately but I haven't done anything on purpose to hurt someone! You're so determined on hating me for something I didn't mean to happen! I am not useless! I fucked this up and I'll fix it!" She swallowed and couldn't help herself. She broke down crying harder from her sudden anger. She wished Richard was here. He'd know what to do.

Kayla turned to her with a glare. "I'm not going to hurt her! I'm going to find a way to help without hurting her!" She gave Sy an apologetic bow and then left. No matter what this time, she wasn't turning back.

"I'm going to go find..." He shook his head. "Noss. I'm going to go find Noss. They're still separate entities Alicia, and until then I'm calling her Noss. Are you coming? You might be able to see just how this Yami works."
