And here Espoir was trying to fix her hair. She nodded as before saying a response, "Hm. Maybe I should try the game. My godparents always said that the game was a waste of money but apparently mom was a duelist back then," she mused. Maybe this could be a way to... nah. "Must be fun."

"It can be if you really have a passion for it, although I understand where they're coming from." He nodded softly. "One of the best things about it is creating a deck to suit your own personality, you sort of get to put your own heart into your cards, which is true for anything that someone cares about deeply, everyone deserves that kind of happiness and dueling is the path to it for many."

"Well thats an interesting interpretation," she said softly, in almost a mumble. After a moment of thought she smiled. "I cant say Im interested, but I'll look into this game called... was it Duel Monsters?" She nodded as if she had just said something complicated and was pretending to understand it. Oh yeah, Espoir was a wierd girl.

"Mhm, it's pretty popular, esspecially around here, but even more so in Japan." He chuckled softly. "They go crazy for those cards in Japan." He thought to himself, he heard rumors that some had even tried to kill each other over some particularly rare cards, but surely that had to be just rumors.

"Yeah so I heard. They made something called duel disk technology just for this one card game," she said with a shrug. The only real thing she kept up with was technology. She always wanted to go to Japan just cause it was the place of technology. "Also heard of some crazy people that duel. Claim to use magic and start kidnapping and killing people. Scary stuff."

"Magic?!" He exclaimed suddenly. Vox was ready to turn and leave but the sudden change in their topic aroused his interested. "It isn't as farfetched as you may think, my young friend. Duel Monsters and magic go way back, in fact I came here to escape it." He said quickly. It seemed he had some things to say after all, as long as it was on the right topic.

Espoir turned to face the other kid. He was talking about magic and card games. Either her was completely insane or he knew something that they didnt. "Er, would you care to explain that sir?"

DJ nodded, confused as well about what he said, he knew magic exisited, but he wasn't so sure about it being centered in a card game. But this odd guy seemed to believe something to these rumors so the least he could do was hear him out.

Espoir sighed, could it be that stuff she heard about egyptian fun when she was back in high school but that was so long ago. She knew that the games were linked to the game Duel Monsters but there was no magic or anything else involved besides just a bit of fun, right?
