I didn't want to alert the forum, but I just found Shelby sitting on her bed, tears streaming down her face, holding a a cake knife and talking about being out of options. There was also stuff before she went to sleep about today being something she deserved and that it was sad that even her birthday was horrible. I put her to bed, and figured I'd say we might be in for one of those weeks. To be clear, she didn't hurt herself, and I doubt she would have had I not been woken up by her... she just was in that place she gets to because of yesterday and a fight I've been reading between her and a GX staffer.

I was talking with her yesterday and realized she was feeling down. From what we talked about one of her biggest concerns is that San Mel's population is not growing with the anticipation she would have liked. we're a really small site and Shelby wanted to make this as big as SRGX but with better roleplayers (I'm sure most of us have found that the vast population of SRGX could not roleplay their way out of a wet paper bag.)
the big problem is that we're not exactly attracting members and we need to grow. If anyone has any suggestions, we're open to anything. this is bigger than just Sheby's problem. it's everyone's problem, especially the staff.

Well, I could always advertise on the Proboards support Forum. I went there to get my first Pokemon and FF sites restored, and they had an advertising section. I mean, it's a long shot, and there's the risk of picking up some retards and/or n00bs, but it's better than nothing/
